Projects

During my time in school pursuing a degree in technology business, I undertook a variety of innovative projects that integrated cutting-edge technologies with business strategies. One notable project involved developing a mobile application aimed at streamlining supply chain management processes for small businesses. Additionally, I led a team in creating a data analytics platform that provided actionable insights for optimizing operational efficiency. These projects not only enhanced my technical skills but also deepened my understanding of how technology can drive business success in today's dynamic market landscape.

Statement of Intent

Churchill once said, “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” I believe that what Churchill said is very true and this quote can be applied to many things. One translation of this can be about capitalism and socialism that Sir Winston Churchill was dealing with at the time. But I would like to take a smaller approach to this and say that it can also be applied to smaller matters, matters that can make a huge difference in our or your communities today. If we give back to the same community we came from, then fundamentally we can expect our communities to grow even for the better.

My participation in giving back to the community around me is helping the city I am from. I grew up on the Navajo reservation in a little town called Tuba City. It’s located about an hour away from Flagstaff and Page. From here when I go back home, I like to help around the area such as cleaning up and mowing down large tumbleweeds as the weeds in this area grow at a rapid pace. But I think the biggest way that I help my community locally here, is with my little sister and team or friends. My sister is a freshman in high school, she is always joining sports and other activities such as band. When they have a fundraiser or need help, I will do what I can to provide for my sister and her team. This way I help the local high school team through my little sister, this can come in areas such as bringing water, helping pay for equipment they may need, picking up my sisters’ friends to take them to a competition, and taking her friends to grab some food on the way back. I’m doing what I can to help people who may need it. Her friends are great too but sometimes they do ask me questions about life and what I did in the military. I always give them advice when needed as someone who once grew up in their shoes, I try to give advice that I wished someone told me when I was their age. Some areas that I see that may need help are drug cases. Specifically talking about fentanyl, this drug is the leading cause of death for many people from kids to grown adults. It is a rising concern that I seem to hear more and more about. I would like to create a plan to combat this. I think the best way to help is to learn the signs of people close to me if the case may be, and direct them to a professional or a close family member or friend.

Another area is that when I had my first job at Papa John's, I was only 16. Instantly I knew I had a lot to work on to be seen as another high schooler teen at a job. It was something I got from my late aunt who passed away last year. She taught me to always try my best and not be afraid to ask for help, it’s the only way we can improve ourselves. Which is trying, yeah you may fail but don’t stop trying to be a better you the next day. I carried that on through my career in the Maines and now to my career as a marketing and sales development representative. I would like to create a Marco of some sort that is universal for jobs that use SQL or Excel-based databases.
